The Government is already holding talks with EU countries to overcome the EES issue, the Government has confirmed. On Monday, Foreign Minister Mucunski dismissed speculations according to which this past weekend, Greece eased access for people from Serbia, but not for citizens of its northern neighbor.
The Chamber of Tourism, too, hopes that the EES system will be suspended for citizens of North Macedonia. However, it is yet to receive an answer from Greece to its request, sent to that country’s Ministry of Tourism.
SDSM, on its part, reacted to PM Mickoski’s statement regarding the EES, i.e., his comments calling on citizens to spend their summer holidays domestically, pointing out that they were an indicator of the country’s isolation.
