On Monday, Arben Fetai submitted his resignation as DPM for Good Governance. In a social media post, he said the decision had been made carefully and with the conviction that it was the most correct and dignified step.
According to the post, he was honored to have served the country and contributed to reforms aimed at strengthening accountability, transparency, and the rule of law, “a mission that is as important as it is thankless”.
Though he is not fully satisfied with what has been achieved, he stressed that he’d worked in a fully committed manner to lay sound foundations upon which further progress could be built. Fetai added that he was leaving the position with his head held high and a clear conscience.
Previously, Fetai hadn’t gone to work for more than two and a half months. The Government will accept the resignation on Tuesday (June 2), according to PM Mickoski.
