The Criminal Court in Skopje has issued an eight-day detention measure against 44-year-old I.D., who’s suspected of the June 15 arson attack on Bulgarian Embassy vehicles in Skopje. The incident has sparked new reactions in Sofia, where Bulgarian MP Angel Georgiev of the Vazrazhdane (Revival) party said he would propose that President Radev request the EU to suspend European funds for North Macedonia.
In Skopje, the Government again condemned the incident and stated that the investigation was continuing. Based on information from the investigation, the suspect has confessed to the crime, while relevant institutions have continued their activities to determine all circumstances related to the case.
