The Mayor of the Municipality of Brvenica from VMRO-DPMNE’s ranks, Jovica Ilievski, has passed away suddenly at the age of 58.
On social media on Tuesday, VMRO-DPMNE leader and PM Mickoski said Ilievski had been a hardworking, honest, and modest man. He was completely dedicated to the people and the local self-government unit, he added in the post.
Condolences were extended by numerous other politicians, including Skopje Mayor Gjorgjievski, who said Ilievski’s humane mission had touched a lot of people. According to unofficial information, Ilievski died of a heart attack. Ilievski is survived by his wife and two children.
