Pets.mk has learned that on Saturday, white wolves escaped from their habitat and killed four kangaroos and several emu birds at the Skopje Zoo.
Sources have told the portal that the wolves allegedly managed to dig a hole under their habitat and escape, after which they attacked and killed several kangaroos and emu birds. It took Zoo employees several hours to catch the wolves and return them to their habitat, Pets.mk adds in the report.
LDP said it was demanding a swift reaction from the Zoo, the City of Skopje, the Food and Veterinary Agency, and all relevant institutions. Anima Mundi reacted, too, asking how it was possible for nobody to notice that the wolves had been digging holes.
