Constitutional Court President Kostadinovski on Several Topics

In the interview with Sitel, Constitutional Court President Kostadinovski said that “whether someone likes it or not”, the Languages Law case would be solved. As he noted, there will be an outcome after the process to complete the composition is carried out.

Kostadinovski rejected allegations about ethnic outvoting. Regarding the abolition of the law reducing coefficients for calculating salaries of Constitutional Court judges and the request to Parliament to make legal changes to align coefficients to calculate those salaries, he stated that it was about a decision that was legally and constitutionally justified, as well as that it aimed to protect the status of judges.

Regarding the Safe City case, Kostadinovski said that the report on it was yet to be filed. Once that is done, it will immediately be placed on the agenda of a session.

Regarding the initiative filed by former MP Liljana Popovska related to the Second Protocol in relation to Bulgaria, he said the Court wasn’t calculating.
