Interparty Accusations over Draft Electoral Code Continue

The opposition coalition consisting of SDSM, DUI, and Levica deliberately missed the final opportunity to pass the new Electoral Code, thereby directly harming both diaspora members and citizens in the country, VMRO-DPMNE MP Bojan Stojanoski said on Wednesday. As he explained, that day (July 15) was the final deadline for implementing the Electoral Code reform.

Within the opposition, mutual accusations continued. SDSM accused Levica of having a deal with Mickoski, while Apasiev’s party claims the opposite is true, i.e., that it is Filipche’s party that has a deal with the PM.

LDP, on its part, again called for a political consensus, stressing that the country was losing financial resources due to the lack of agreement among political stakeholders. The party’s leader, MP Zajkova, stated that the country risked losing 4.2 million euros on Wednesday alone.
