Goce Naumovski has submitted his resignation as Constitutional Court Judge directly to Parliament. He has notified neither the Court nor its President, Kostadinovski.
Kostadinovski himself told Kanal 5 on Thursday that he had learned of Naumovski’s resignation through a phone call with Parliament Speaker Gashi, after Naumovski hadn’t appeared at that day’s session without any explanation. The Court tried to reach him by phone for hours, but he did not answer the calls.
The Court said it had not received official information regarding the resignation. An official confirmation has not arrived from Parliament either. The legislature, however, confirmed to Kanal 5 that it had received Naumovski’s resignation. Kostadinovski also told Kanal 5 that the reasons for the resignation were unknown to him and the Court.
