Residents of Krushevo are advised to use bottled water for drinking, while water from the town water supply should only be used for food preparation, laundry, and washing dishes after boiling it for a minimum of 10 minutes.
The notification to Krushevo residents has been sent by the Komuna Public Enterprise (PE), following a report received from the Prilep Center for Public Health stating that the drinking water from Krushevo’s local supply was bacteriologically unsafe.
According to the PE, that testing of samples taken on July 20 from roadside faucets at the petrol station and at the Sv. Petka location, revealed bacteriological contamination, as well as that those weren’t allowed to be used for drinking water. SDSM has reacted to the information, criticizing the Government over the “collapse of the system”.
