On Saturday, VMRO-DPMNE once again said it was calling on Mayor Limani to take responsibility for the water crisis in Gostivar. The ruling party noted that SDSM, DUI, and Arben Taravari held power at a local level and therefore, if they truly cared about citizens, they should daily demand that Limani step down as Mayor and take responsibility.
On the other hand, SDSM fiercely criticized central institutions, accusing them of catastrophically failing to manage the Gostivar water issue. At a press conference, the opposition party’s Jon Frchkoski called on the Government to reallocate five million euros intended for the country’s Independence Day celebrations toward constructing water treatment and filtration plants, reservoirs, pipe replacements, and new infrastructure.
