Foreign Minister Mucunski on Talks Regarding European Integration Process

Foreign Minister Mucunski has revealed that there are talks “under the radar” to unblock the country’s European path. However, he emphasizes that the Government will not accept a solution at any cost, especially when it comes to issues related to identity, language, history, and culture.

Mucunski says in an interview that there are diplomatic talks to overcome the blockade of the integration process, but their content cannot be publicly disclosed.

“We often talk about there being discussions. We must not share the details because if we start sharing them with the public, we doom them to failure. But citizens should rest assured that the Government has clearly drawn red lines and issues it is not prepared to negotiate on”, the Minister stresses.

However, his comments have been fiercely criticized by SDSM, which says there is no other country in the world where a foreign minister says there are talks on the country’s fate, but they are secret.
