The Skopje – European Capital of Culture (ECoC) 2028 Bill, which provides for the non-implementation of the Law on Public Procurement to the spending of money within that project, has been withdrawn, PM Mickoski said on Friday, adding that there would be a public debate.
According to him, there has been a fierce attempt at manipulation regarding the matter publicly, but the process has been halted in order to eliminate all doubts.
“One of the priorities for implementing the project is also the law being drafted according to all recommendations from the EU. This is nothing different from what was done in Helsinki”, the PM said.
