PM Mickoski Addresses Marking of August 2 in Pelince

“I will not commit treason to the detriment of the state at any price”, PM Mickoski said in his address at the event marking Ilinden Uprising Day and Day of the Republic (August 2) in Pelince.

The Government will not follow in the footsteps of the previous cabinet and no compromises will be made regarding national interests, he added. As the PM also assessed, the homeland today is not the state dreamt of by the Ilinden revolutionaries and the ASNOM people. Therefore, Mickoski added, “our battle is to restore a prosperous Macedonia”.

The same day, SDSM leader Filipche delivered an address in Krushevo, where he stated that the fight was about a dignified life, justice, the rule of law, and a European future for the country.

“The memory of Ilinden has real value only if it serves to build a better future. That is why we are fighting for a Macedonia ruled by law, not partisan interest. For a Macedonia with clean water, decent wages, and prospects for young people. For a Macedonia that is part of the European family — free, democratic, and prosperous”, he said.
