The Skopje Prosecutor’s Office has opened a case on the basis of rumor to verify information regarding enormous pollution of nature with waste in the protected area near the Rashche springs. A prosecutor will coordinate the activities of the State Inspectorate for Environment and relevant inspection services to conduct checks regarding the origin of the landfill, as well as possible consequences.
Meanwhile, the Agency for National Security and the Interior Ministry’s Computer Crime Sector are investigating where disinformation about contaminated water in Skopje began to spread.
At around 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Kanal 5 reported that six individuals had been detained at police stations across Skopje for an informative interview regarding the issue.
