It is certain that drinking water will be safe in Gostivar starting Friday, August 14. The third water test, following the previous two satisfactory laboratory analyses, showed significant improvement in the physicochemical and microbiological parameters.
The Local Crisis Staff confirmed for Kanal 5 on Thursday that good results from the samples taken on August 12 were expected that day. If the results confirm the water’s safety, the ban on its use for drinking is expected to be lifted on Friday. The Staff appealed to citizens not to rush into using the water for drinking until they receive an official green light from the Institute of Public Health and the Agency that the water is safe for consumption.
