Eight non-EU countries, including North Macedonia, have agreed to align themselves with the EU’s latest sanctions against Belarus due to Minsk’s support for Russia’s war in Ukraine.
The other seven countries are Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Montenegro, Norway, and Ukraine.
The eight countries, as the EU said, will ensure that their national policies conform to the measures adopted by the EU Council on July 23. The sanctions expand restrictions on goods and technology that could enhance Belarus’s military, technological, defense, or security capabilities.
