The investigation into the Marijuana case continues, Prosecutor Verica Berzhecka Krsteva confirmed on Thursday. Through the investigation and the confessions of the defendants who entered into plea agreements, it was confirmed there had been at least five shipments of marijuana, though the exact total quantity transferred into Serbia couldn’t be determined, she explained.
So far, among the four suspects and two convicted individuals, no link has been established to members of the police or the Customs Administration of North Macedonia.
The investigation will now see additional analyses carried out of the phone records of the seven new suspects to determine whether they had ties to members of North Macedonia’s border services.
