The Skopje Appellate Court has upheld the acquittal of former PM and ex-VMRO-DPMNE leader Gruevski, who was charged in the Thaler 2 case.
The ruling means that VMRO-DPMNE regains ownership of its party HQ, which is located in the center of Skopje, valued at 14 million euros, as well as assets worth approximately two million euros that were frozen for years.
Following a session held on Wednesday that was not open to the public, the Court reviewed the case files. Taking into consideration the proposal of the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Skopje, it rendered a verdict rejecting the appeal of the Skopje Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office as unfounded and upholding the verdict of the Criminal Court.
