U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio congratulated North Macedonia on its Independence Day, marking 35 years of independence.
“On behalf of the American people, I extend my warmest congratulations to the people of North Macedonia. The United States is proud to stand with North Macedonia as a trusted ally and partner”, Rubio said in a message published by the State Department.
He also welcomed the continued growth of economic ties, including through this year’s Strategic Dialogue in Washington.
“Together, we are advancing opportunities in energy, infrastructure, technology and other sectors to strengthen prosperity in both our countries”, he said.
