Indictment Filed Over Arson Attack on Bulgarian Embassy Vehicles

The Public Prosecutor’s Office for the Prosecution of Organized Crime and Corruption has submitted a bill of indictment against the suspect in the case concerning the June 15 arson attack on Bulgarian Embassy vehicles. The man has been charged with creating a substantial danger to the life and limb of persons under international legal protection by setting a fire in front of the Bulgarian Embassy.

According to the actions described in the indictment bill, the defendant had previously filled a plastic bottle with gasoline at a gasoline station in the immediate vicinity of the Embassy and headed toward the premises.

After approaching parked vehicles used by Bulgaria’s Military Attaché and other Embassy staff, he doused them with the gasoline and set them on fire, after which he immediately fled the scene.
