In a September 16 Facebook post, commenting on the verdict against Hashim Thaci and the three other former KLA leaders, SDSM MP Fatmir Bytyqi stated that history would deliver the final assessment of their struggle.
Also regarding the matter, when it comes to the reactions to his stance defending the role of the KLA, Parliament Speaker Gashi said on Thursday he wouldn’t withdraw the public post. As he explained, the office he holds does not mean he cannot express his view as an individual.
In a press release, DUI stated that it viewed with regret the reactions of political parties from the ethnic Macedonian political bloc, which, with their approach, “are making a serious mistake, attempting to equate the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia in The Hague with the Kosovo Specialist Chambers”.
