On Friday, a hearing was held in the Lottery case. Former State Lottery Director Perparim Bajrami, who was detained on September 9 after voluntarily turning himself in to the police, pleaded not guilty.
At the hearing, the Criminal Court ruled that evidence would be presented as proposed by the Prosecutor’s Office, by reading titles and explaining the circumstances they pertained to. Bajrami’s attorney, Elenko Milanov, reacted to that, requesting that evidence be presented in full because, as he noted, the case is of significant public interest. However, the Court’s decision stood.
The trial will continue on September 23, when the Prosecutor’s Office will read evidence. In the case, alongside Bajrami, seven other individuals are on trial, including former DPM Grubi.
