The Government is pursuing an isolationist policy and jeopardizing strategic national interests by distancing the country from the EU, according to SDSM. On Friday, party leader Filipche said that following signals from Brussels regarding enlargement, the country was absent from the group of four countries for which an accession strategy was being prepared.
The Government is seeking a solution regarding the European path, but it will not stand idle, PM Mickoski told the Atlantic Council in Washington. Instead, he added, the cabinet will implement reforms and attract foreign direct investments.
Levica has voiced a stand on the EU path, too, saying the bloc’s approach remains ambiguous.
