
On Tuesday, the Agency for National Security and the Interior Ministry presented details on Monday’s operation.
Searches were conducted on six individuals across a total of 12 locations in Skopje, i.e., in Chair and the villages of Singelikj and Brest, during which automatic rifles, automatic rifle magazines, a sniper rifle, a sniper rifle magazine, handguns, bullets of various calibers, a tactical vest, two-way radios, an official flag of the ISIS terrorist organization, a large quantity of electronic devices, mobile phones, as well as a substantial sum of funds in denars and foreign currency were seized.
According to the Agency for National Security, it’s about a religiously radical group linked to transnational criminal organizations, connected with acts of violence, extortion, kidnapping, loan-sharking, illicit drug trafficking, arms trafficking, and other criminal activities.
According to the Interior Ministry, 34-year-old K.I. was connected to an ISIS branch with the aim of committing criminal offenses on North Macedonia’s territory.
