Minister of Justice Shasivari will personally reach out to SDSM leader and MP Filipche in an effort to bring him back to the negotiating table regarding reforms to the Electoral Code. However, the party didn’t participate in Wednesday’s renewed attempt to reach a consensus among parties represented in Parliament. In addition to continuing its refusal to participate, the party rejected Shasivari’s initiative.
“Today, at the Ministry of Justice, VMRO and their satellites from Levica sat down to negotiate electoral crimes”, SDSM added.
Reiterating its stance, the party stressed that it “doesn’t sit at a table with criminals and their manufactured satellites, nor will it allow them to commit electoral theft”.
Given that amendments to the Electoral Code can be blocked by amendments, the conclusion of the remaining political parties is that meetings held in SDSM’s absence lack practical substance. They also reiterated their respective positions.
