PM Mickoski has expressed mixed feelings following the visit of EC President von der Leyen to Skopje. According to him, it is positive that the visit could prove pivotal for moving the process forward with Bulgaria.
Also, he felt encouraged by her statement that the government was delivering on reforms. However, Mickoski did not welcome the message that constitutional changes remained an obligation.
In Bulgaria, former PM Borissov said nothing more than the implementation of the 2017 Treaty was requested, while Bulgarian President Iotova said there was always openness to talks with North Macedonia, but without ultimatums.
