On Wednesday, a new interview process was conducted in Parliament for the candidates for Judicial Council membership. Three were invited, but Fadil Xhelili did not appear.
Consequently, Parliament now considers his candidacy withdrawn. The other two applicants are attorneys: Emilija Aleksovska from Kumanovo and Djoko Dikov from Strumica. The final decision will be made by a commission composed of MPs, judges, and representatives of the civil sector.
The two candidates did not comment on the conditions within the Council and the judicial system, promising that they would work exclusively in accordance with the law and wouldn’t allow anyone to influence their decision-making. One of the candidates will succeed Pavlina Crvenkovska.
