Fierce accusations were made during Wednesday’s session of Parliament for questions from opposition MPs. Levica parliamentarian and leader Apasiev raised the issue of the businesses of PM Mickoski’s brother-in-law, displaying photographs and alleging that the majority of companies in the network were located in Bulgaria.
Mickoski rejected the accusations as lies. He accused Apasiev of spreading slander from the rostrum without bearing responsibility for his comments. He publicly challenged him to repeat the claims at a press conference so they could face each other in court.
North Macedonia’s European path was also among the focal topics. Mickoski offered the opposition the opportunity to join the process surrounding the dialogue with Bulgaria after DUI MPs had requested details on the current status of the integration process. The PM alleged that the current situation and blockade was a consequence of the policies of the previous, SDSM–DUI, government.
