SDSM leader Filipche has responded to VMRO-DPMNE’s accusations against him regarding the case of Iva Mihailova. He stated in a tweet that the government was attempting to attribute responsibility to him for everything happening in the country.
However, VMRO-DPMNE again said it had been Dr. Ivan Barbov who had prepared the report stating that Mihailova’s treatment had to continue in Bulgaria. Meanwhile, inspectors from the State Sanitary and Health Inspectorate are reviewing the medical documentation of Mihailova at the Clinic of Neurology.
Barbov, who established that Mihailova had a fractured vertebra causing her mobility problems, explained to Kanal 5 that Mihailova did not have health insurance domestically (in North Macedonia), and the nearest location offering the treatment method he recommended was in neighboring Bulgaria. He told Kanal 5 he had been unaware of the indictment against Mihailova as a participant in a traffic accident.
