Former Strumica Mayor Kostadin Kostadinov and two other individuals are facing criminal charges in connection with the legalization of an illegal construction in the village of Kuklish.
According to police, a fraudulent study was used to delete municipal buildings from the cadastral registry, which enabled the legalization of a warehouse and the acquisition of ownership over 866 square meters of state-owned land.
Based on the charges, in 2022, two municipal officials enabled a resident of Kuklish to legalize an illegally built facility. Kostadinov rejected the accusations as unfounded.
