The statements of the Bulgarian authorities have closed the issue of Mihailova’s possible extradition to North Macedonia. Acting on the international arrest warrant, Bulgaria should arrest her and then inform North Macedonia’s authorities so they can begin the procedure. Minister Shasivari is waiting for an official notification.
“The situation is mostly related to the judiciary and the Public Prosecutor’s Office, but I have said in front of the whole public that the moment I receive official information, I will immediately act regarding the extradition, which is my legal competence and responsibility”, he stated.
According to Telma, Ivan Barbov, the neurologist who recommended treatment abroad, did not enter Mihailova’s examinations into the Moj Termin (My Appointment) system, for which he will be fined.
