On Wednesday, a new hearing was held in the State Lottery trial.
The Management Board of the State Lottery never adopted a decision regarding the need to procure video lottery terminal (VLT) machines, Hrista Najdanov, who served as a member of the Board from 2017 to 2024, appointed by the Government upon the nomination of DOM, testified. He served for two years during the tenure of former Director Perparim Bajrami, as well as under his predecessor, Katica Nikolovska-Parnakova.
According to the witness, Nikolovska-Parnakova held reservations regarding the issue of the Lottery independently organizing electronic games of chance.
“As far as I recall, there was no separate agenda item regarding the need to procure VLT machines. We did not adopt a concrete decision on VLTs. I learned about it from the media later”, Najdanov stated.
Bajrami, former DPM Grubi, are among those accused in the trial.
