Mickoski and Shekerinska Offer Divergent Stances on EU Path

“Macedonia has not been an EU member for 15 years due to artificial issues”, PM Mickoski said at the within the NRW Resilience Summit in Duesseldorf on Wednesday.

As he emphasized, the country is now facing an artificial demand from an EU member state, which can also be viewed as bringing down EU resilience.

The same day, from Belgium, in an interview with Sitel, the Deputy Secretary General of the Alliance, Radmila Shekerinska, said that only through compromise and offering solutions could the country move closer to the EU. According to her, North Macedonia is too passive, waiting for someone else to solve its problems without proposing solutions.
