SDSM leader Filipche has fiercely criticized the government regarding what’s been noted in the EC’s Report on North Macedonia.
“EC Report 2026: everything is worse. Zero progress against corruption, freedom of expression, and public procurement. Judiciary under political siege and without money. 40 lawsuits against journalists — triple last year. Media under pressure. Agriculture on the brink of collapse. The government has captured the judiciary, stifled the media space, and left corruption untouched”, he said in a tweet on Wednesday.
On the other hand, the Justice Ministry said the Report noted positive achievements in the judiciary and recognized progress in advancing the legal and institutional framework in accordance with European standards.
