PM Mickoski has said regarding the Alta Banka case that the decision on the sale of Stopanska Banka Bitola was made after the elections and within a legally prescribed procedure carried out by the National Bank, not the Government. On Thursday, he accused the opposition of spreading panic and demanded a prosecutorial investigation against it for sabotage.
The PM also warned that domestic companies were complaining that Serbian trade partners were not paying them for business transactions due to blocked accounts at Alta Banka.
He outlined two scenarios for Alta Banka Bitola: securing a buyer — which he assessed as difficult due to accusations from the opposition that, as he said, deter potential investors — and the second scenario, declaring bankruptcy, meaning the revocation of its operating license.
