“The Republic of North Macedonia, now, today, at this moment, deserves a start of negotiations for EU membership,” Slovenian Ambassador Milan Jazbec said on Wednesday. The meeting in October will see Slovenia directly support a start of negotiations, while the country’s PM, Marjan Sarec, will do so during next week’s visit to Skopje, according to Jazbec. He described Slovenia as a big supporter of Macedonia. “Our support, as has been the case many times so far, will be confirmed also next week, when Slovenian PM Sarec will come to Skopje for a visit and that will be a meeting on the eve of the Summit. We will once again confirm Slovenia’s support,” he stressed.
