135 New COVID-19 Cases, 35 Deaths in Past 24 Hours

135 new COVID-19 cases were registered in the past 24 hours out of 841 tests, while 35 COVID-19 patients have passed away. 900 patients have been registered as recovered in the past 24-hours. MoI reports that during the same period the curfew was violated by 22 people, and 537 sanctions for not wearing a mask were issued. The total number of COVID-diagnosed persons in the country since the beginning of the epidemic is 147,229, the number of recovered patients is 123,710, the number of deaths is 4,478, and the number of active cases is 19,041. Health Minister Venko Filipce informed the public that Monday afternoon arrived the first shipment of 10,530 Pfizer vaccines, which the Health Ministry contracted through direct negotiations with the manufacturer. During the same time, the Infectious Diseases Committee decided for the restrictive measures to continue for an additional week (until 27 April), due to the high unpredictability and infection rate of the virus.
