Caretaker PM Spasovski Comments on Several Topics

On Thursday, caretaker PM Oliver Spasovski said it was important to adopt a Public Prosecutor’s Office law that would primarily mean that there would be justice for all citizens and that wouldn’t allow any individual to be protected. “The Government and I are absolutely against any law that will prevent criminal procedures against anybody,” he said, adding that everyone should be equal before the law. The former Interior Minister confirmed that there had been payment of compensations in the frames of the Ministry. However, he explained that over 90% of them concern non-payment of a bonus for overtime. He called on caretaker Interior Minister Nakje Culev to sign the decision that will result in the bonus being paid. Spasovski also commented on Macedonia’s EU road, saying the EU’s decision in March regarding a start of membership could be exclusively seen through the prism of country’s future.
