Caretaker PM Spasovski Holds Meeting with Slovenian Ambassador Jazbec

Outgoing Slovenian Ambassador to Macedonia Milan Jazbec met on Wednesday Caretaker PM Oliver Spasovski. As the government’s press service informs, the interlocutors affirmed the strong friendly relations between Macedonia and Slovenia, with Spasovski thanking Jazbec for Slovenia’s support to Macedonia in its processes for integration in EU and NATO. Spasovski and Jazbec also discussed the 2020 parliamentary election in Macedonia. “The country has made great progress in the past three years, by resolving bilateral issues with its neighbours, NATO membership and reaffirmed European perspectives. The realisation of the big EU project should continue, which brings welfare to the citizens and economic results in the economic sphere. Now, after the elections, we are focused on the establishment of institutions in accordance with the legal and constitutional deadlines, which will continue the course towards European integration,” Spasovski said. Spasovski also presented Jazbec with a certificate of appreciation for his contribution to the democratic processes in Macedonia and for Slovenia’s friendly support for the Euro-Atlantic integration of Macedonia. Later on Wednesday, Jazbec also held a farewell meeting with Foreign Minister Nikola Dimitrov. “The personal engagement and Slovenia’s support of our efforts to integrate into NATO and the EU reaffirms the sincere friendship fostered by the two countries,” said Dimitrov, who also presented Jazbec with a certificate of appreciation.
