On Tuesday, the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Bujar Osmani, who’s also North Macedonia’s Foreign Minister, convened the Reinforced Meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council. Considering the critical challenges facing the OSCE in light of the Russian aggression against Ukraine, foreign ministers and other high representatives of participating States and cooperation partners of the OSCE exchanged views on current issues and challenges.
Discussions focused on issues of crucial importance to the OSCE’s functionality, including the need for adopting the budget. According to Osmani, despite the tectonic impact of the Russian aggression in the OSCE region, the Organisation has managed to demonstrate flexibility, adjust to the given circumstances, continue to offer support, and deliver for people.
