According to FM Nikola Dimitrov, the General Affairs Council’s conclusions valorise and acknowledge Macedonia’s reform agenda and new foreign policy, which resolves problems instead of ignoring them. “We will be satisfied when we get also the decision in the autumn and when we will be in organisation of the first governmental conference that we want to be held in December of this year,” he said on Wednesday, at the second plenary session of the National Convention on the EU. His Slovak counterpart, Miroslav Lajcak, considers Macedonia has achieved a lot even though the road is still very long. He said he was optimistic about the positive development and about the issue of opening of negotiations in October. The Slovak FM added that his country would continue to support Macedonia on its EU path.
