On behalf of DUI, Bujar Osmani has already confirmed official that public debates are starting on the topic of constitutional changes that will be taking place in Parliament. The start of consultations with NGOs, experts, but also with parties and MPs several days from now, immediately after Orthodox Christmas has been confirmed by SDSM too. The first consultation activities about how the process would take place in Parliament will be on 9 January, at the regular coordination hosted by Speaker Talat Xhaferi. The Government’s representatives are planning for the constitutional changes to be opened not later than the end of February in order for them to be finished in autumn. On the other hand, the opposition is demanding the Parliament dissolution and caretaker cabinet process to start in January so that it results in early elections in May.
