Day 2 of Parliamentary Session over Cabinet Reshuffle Proposal

The parliamentary session over the cabinet reshuffle proposal continued on Tuesday. The debate concerned the dismissal of ministers and deputy ministers from Alternative, that is, Health Minister Bekim Sali. VMRO-DPMNE’s Mile Lefkov said the dismissals were not related to the Government’s programme. In his view, it’s about bargaining between parties. “Ultimately, the citizens pay the price for your incompetence,” he noted. In response, NSDP’s Sonja Mirakovska said this was not VMRO-DPMNE’s era. “This is the era of bold politicians that make bold decisions in the interest of citizens,” she stressed, adding that the reshuffle was about the European future. According to VMRO-DPMNE’s Ane Laskoska, even if the reshuffle is approved in Parliament, the majority will not be able to enable normal functioning of the legislative home. BESA’s Fadil Zendeli shares VMRO-DPMNE’s stand that there should be early elections. According to SDSM, VMRO-DPMNE doesn’t have any capacity and has not been at all interested in the interests of citizens during the economic and energy crisis. The debate will continue on Wednesday.
