On Monday, Defence Minister Slavjanka Petrovska held a meeting with Ukraine’s Ambassador, Nataliia Zadorozhniuk. North Macedonia, like all other NATO members, unambiguously supports Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, it was again underlined at the meeting. As Petrovska said, North Macedonia, as a NATO member, supports the policy of open doors and right of every country to decide on its own future. The Ambassador expressed gratitude for North Macedonia’s clear stands regarding Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, as well as with regards to the support for NATO’s open-door policy. Petrovska also reiterated North Macedonia’s stand that the best solution is diplomatically solving the crisis in Ukraine, as well as supporting NATO’s efforts to use all diplomatic and political tools to decrease tensions and de-escalate the situation.
