Deputy PM Bojan Maricic held a meeting on Wednesday with UK Ambassador Matthew Lawson. Maricic, who is also the Chief Negotiator with the EU, informed Lawson about the screening process, highlighting the efforts that North Macedonia would continue to invest in the all-encompassing process of reforms in society, which, as it was pointed out in the press-erase, is also important when it comes to speeding up the integration process and dynamism of opening and closing clusters and chapters. The support from the UK for development cooperation with Skopje increased in 2018, as a positive reaction of the accelerated reform processes that are done by North Macedonia. The Ambassador welcomed the start of the negotiations and active approach of North Macedonia’s Government in the first stage of the accession process.
