Filipce: Stricter Anti-COVID-19 Measures May be Introduced if Necessary

Health Minister Venko Filipce said at a press conference on Tuesday that, based on analyses conducted by the ministry, the R0 factor of virulency of the coronavirus in Macedonia has dropped from 1.5 to 1. “These numbers are good news, but this does not mean that we can relax even a bit. The situation in hospitals around the country still remains serious, the number of hospitalised patients increases, and the doctors and nurses are very tired. We proceed to follow the situation, and if such a necessity occurs, we will strengthen the anti-COVID-19 measures, which will most probably result with restrictions of the movement of the citizens in public spaces,” Filipce said.
