On Thursday, Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani paid a visit to Athens, where he met his counterpart, Nikos Dendias. The focus of their meeting was on establishing the framework for the following activities that are ahead for Skopje and Athens in accordance with the Prespa Agreement. In addition to the dominant topics, including intensification and advancement of economic cooperation through greater cooperation of economic chambers, Osmani and Dendias talked about further deepening political dialogue, friendship, and good relations with neighbours as policies to build a common European future. The NATO and EU issues were discussed as well. In that regard, Osmani stated that Greece’s principled support for a start of EU membership negotiations was especially important. Osmani’s activities in the southern neighbour also included meetings with Greek President Katerina Sakellaropoulou and PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
