Commenting on Bulgarian PM Kiril Petkov’s statements (a moved veto and European guarantees for a change of the Constitution at the start of the negotiations process itself, before the opening of the first chapter), Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani says the Portuguese proposal, as a basic framework for the ideas that have been exchanged between the Governments over the past weeks, remains the best solution to unblock the EU path of Skopje and then the region. On Monday, during the visit to Berlin, Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani held a meeting with Anton Hofreiter, who chairs the German Bundestag’s Committee on European Union Affairs. They talked about North Macedonia’s file and the need to urgently unblock the integration process as a geostrategic investment of the EU. Osmani will also visit Sofia, where he will meet, among others, Enlargement Commissioner Oliver Varheliy, TV21 reports. They will afterwards come to Skopje.
