Manuel Sarrazin, representative of the Green Party in Germany’s Bundestag, reaffirmed Monday in Skopje his country’s support of Macedonia’s bid to join the European Union and NATO. The citizens of Macedonia should seize the historic opportunity and by a successful referendum and implementation of the Prespa Agreement, to ensure Euro-Atlantic future for their country, Sarrazin said at a meeting with Foreign Minister Nikola Dimitrov. Dimitrov extended gratitude to Germany for its staunch support for Macedonia to successfully implement the necessary reforms for the EU, NATO membership, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release. He also briefed the guest about the current political developments in Macedonia, including the pace of the referendum campaign, the press release reads.
