Government Accepts Infectious Diseases Committee’s Measures

There will be no New Year’s Eve celebrations as new more restrictive measures accepted by the Government, but the day parties in the pre-New Year’s period will be able to squeeze through in the period until 6 pm, when the hospitality venues will need to close in the next five weeks. Neither the hotel arrangements nor the renting of weekend houses for celebrations has been stopped. The Government and Infectious Diseases Committee hope citizens are conscientious enough to celebrate only in the circle of the family without a lot of mingling even though there are many houses that have been rented in the tourist centres where there is one toilet or balcony per several rooms and apartments. On Tuesday, PM Zoran Zaev, who explained the measures, urged officials to be part of celebrations in line with the measures and not to set a bad example before citizens.
